BASIC PURPOSE:

Incumbent is responsible for food preparation, equipment maintenance, and sanitation in the Food and Beverage Department.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare, cook, and distribute food items.
  • Maintain proper sanitation of entire kitchen.
  • Answer guests’ questions and provide information as requested.
  • Communicate supply needs to Food & Beverage Shift Supervisor.
  • Must be proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding the English language.
  • Maintain professional hygiene and appearance.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete required training.
  • Must perform all work functions in accordance with the Casino Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in food preparation in a restaurant, kitchen, or dining area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Work is performed in the kitchen area with exposure to heat, fumes, and steam. Lifting large hot and cold trays required lifting up to 25 pounds. Prolonged standing and walking is required.
