JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Perform recruitment, selection, hiring and retention duties
- Complete job postings, interviewing, offers, drug tests, orientation and on-boarding
- Employee relations and counseling
- Track and process performance reviews
- Update job descriptions, new hire paperwork, performance reviews and other HR related forms
- Track new employee eligibility for benefits enrollment as needed
- Give employees literature on available plans on pricing structure
- Create and deliver training sessions and programs
- Assist with conducting and/or conduct investigations for claims of harassment, discrimination and other employee relations issues
- Work on promoting and ensuring a positive image throughout the enterprise
- Administrative payroll duties
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
- Exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with the management
- Excellent computer skills to include Word, Power Point, Excel, and Payroll Software
- Working knowledge of general office practices, methods, and equipment, including computer skills in Microsoft Office suite of products

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Will have some repetitive hand and arm motions and prolonged periods of sitting.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, listen, and reach with hands and arms.

- This position requires frequent manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination such as keyboarding and handling of equipment.
