The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for the Black Mesa Casino. Evaluates and approves vendors and authorizes purchase orders for goods or services.


  • Review, validate, and approve supply and service requisitions within scope of authority.
  • Communicate with vendor to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Estimate value according to knowledge of market price and research.
  • Prepare basic purchase orders and bid requests.
  • Work closely with the Finance Department – Accounts Payable.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of records of procurement activities such as: items and services purchased, cost, delivery information, product quality, and inventory.
  • Correct defective/unacceptable service or product with vendor.
  • Maintains bidder lists, product, and services information, supplier information, and acquisition records.
  • Advise Black Mesa Casino personnel on procurement rules; provides technical guidance, and training to casino staff and vendors.
  • Maintain professional hygiene and appearance
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete required training as directed by Human Resources Department.
  • Must perform all duties in compliance with the casino’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Prepare mail (sort incoming or outgoing, delivery, and postage)
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be 21 years of age or above.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED Certification or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years’ experience in commercial purchasing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the San Felipe Pueblo Gaming Regulatory Commission
